biography
Hailing from Southeast Missouri, Cape Central High School classmates and friends, George Kester (guitar), Tyler Thornton (drums), and Joshua Morse (vocals), started playing music together in the spring of 2014. Shortly after graduating, Kester and Thornton sat down to write and record the bands first E.P. “Sacrifice”(Re-Recorded and Re-released as 'Surfacing' in 2020), in Kester’s basement. From this, The Doubted was born. After playing shows in the St. Louis area and finding some success with a unique metal sound, Kester made the move to Hollywood, CA to pursue music at Musician’s Institute, where he became acquainted with Chris Melvin from Beaver, Utah and brought him aboard as The Doubted’s second guitarist. Currently based in Cape Girardeau, MO, The Doubted continue to create melodically heavy metal music to share with their fans around the world.
